Synopsis:

Action takes place in one of the Georgian villages, where there is a religious conflict between the fellow-inhabitants—Christians and Muslims. Once peaceful residents now face new religious hardship. Christians attempt to ban Muslims’ ritual, the latter eagerly demanding the right to pray. The village split in two.

Meanwhile, the story of two male and female teenagers, Gio and Khatuna develops. The girl is from a Muslim family and the boy is from a Christian one. Their friendship has a common interest – the tablet. The girl steals grandpa’s dagger and her friend, the boy exchanges it to the tablet. Every evening the boy and the girl both sit in the corner of the village council yard as there is free wi-fi and play together. Situation in the village becomes tense each and every day.

Fathers of the teenagers are against their friendship, as once friends are now each other’s rivals, the victims of religious conflict.

Khatuna’s family is an eco-migrant. Their home village was devastated by a landslide 20 years ago. The government settled them in this village. Relations with the neighbors were good, the family got new friends, but situation got worse when Gio’s father became an active defender of Christianity, and Khatuna’s father began to collect money to build a mosque.

Incumbents get much angrier when they see Muslim migrants from other villages flock to this village for Friday prayers.

Conflict accompanied with aggression, hatred and adversity between Christians and Muslims is at its peak. Meanwhile, Gio and Khatuna decide to create a new game, more comprehensible for them. Characters of this game are their rival parents, who sometimes play parents, sometimes – gods. The game created by the friends is vicious and ruthless, the end – apocalyptic. The village becomes a battlefield, where there is no room for life. Gio and Khatuna actually invent game more brutal than reality, however prophesiable.

The source of the tragedy is religious intolerance, disrespect of each other’s traditions and lack of intelligence. Clear and unfortunate evidence of this is the main teenage characters of the play – angry birds, who logically embody hate of parents and village. As Angry Birds, their mission is also to destroy everything.
