Synopsis:

“Shoot’Em Up” is a play with absurdity and realism, as a whole concept of war itself.

Play is set in 2008, Georgian town Sioni, where the story of two wars is told : war on national front and a war within family.

Georgian family vacationing in mountainous resort , trying to escape conflict. No one wants war – except a little boy who turns his games into battles. Soon, adults follow suit, mirroring the play that was stage by a little boy unsettling. Holiday is transformed into brutal confrontation with reality.

When wounded Russian soldiers are shot in their yard, family is conflicted between  execute the prisoners as enemies of war, or uphold the legendary Georgian tradition of hospitality—only to betray it moments later?

satirical and unsettling, Omobana dives into absurdity of fragility of morality, and the unsettling ways violence seeps into everyday life.
